How does sunless tanning work?

Our VersaPro® sunless tanning solution uses DHA and Erythrulose, naturally derived ingredients commonly sourced from sugar cane or beets.

These ingredients interact with your skin’s natural proteins to create a long-lasting, natural-looking tan — without UV exposure.
Erythrulose helps balance DHA to prevent the orange tones associated with early spray tanning formulas.

Think of it like an apple browning after being cut — it’s a natural oxidation process that creates your sunless glow.

✨ Spray Tan Levels

We offer four spray tan levels, allowing you to choose the depth of color that best suits your skin tone, lifestyle, and desired result.

  • Level 1 – Light, natural glow

  • Level 2 – Soft medium tanSolutions We Use

  • Level 3 – Deep, rich color

  • Level 4 – Our darkest, most intense tan

Each level can be paired with your choice of solution type to achieve the look you want.

Solutions We Use

We offer two types of solutions:

  • Bronzer Solution
    Provides instant cosmetic color so you’ll see results right away.
    Any temporary bronzer will rinse off in the shower, leaving your long-lasting tan underneath.

  • Clear Solution
    Develops gradually with no immediate color.
    Final results appear within 24 hours hints visible in 2–4 hours.

For best results, leave the solution on for 6–8 hours (or up to 12 hours for maximum depth).

🪄 Our 3-Step Spray Tanning Process

Every spray tan session at Cabana Tan follows a carefully designed process to ensure flawless results:

1️⃣ Perfecting Solution
Prepares the skin, balances pH, and creates a smooth base for even color.

2️⃣ Bronzer or Clear Solution
Customized based on your selected level and desired finish.

3️⃣ Moisturizing Solution
Adds hydration and helps maintain your glow longer.

Preparing for Your Spray Tan

For best results, we recommend:

  • Exfoliate 24 hours before your session

  • Avoid lotions, oils, deodorant, or makeup on the day of your appointment

  • Wear loose, dark clothing after your session

Our team will guide you through everything before you begin.Be sure to shave at least 8 hours prior to your session or wax 1-2 days before. Shaving and waxing too close to your session can cause a spotty appearance on your skin from your newly epilated hair follicles.

For post VersaPro sunless care, when you do shave, be sure to use a fresh, sharp blade to minimize the loss of your sunless results.

How long will my VersaPro Sunless tan last?

Results typically last 5-10 days, depending of how well you prepare your skin beforehand and how well you take care of your sunless tan after your session. Making sure to pat dry after you bath or shower, using a moisturizer – especially one containing a sunless tan extended, will greatly prolong the life of your tan. Cabana Tan carries a variety of sunless tan xtenders to help you keep you beautiful glow going strong.

You will need to put off that cardio session or muscle pumping gym visit until after your VersaPro tan has fully processed and you have showered off the solution. You may shower in 6-8 hours, however 12 is optimal!
